MC Lancelot and I continue to work on some wicked new tunes. Hopefully we’ll have them finished and out in the near future!

Here is an article that appeared in the Bottom Line magazine of Frostburg State University.

We have a LIVE show this Thursday @ the Wonderland Ballroom in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC. This will be our first performance with Man-Afro on the Drums! The Astroknotics noise-rock trio will play first. We will follow with a set of our DJ and MC material (with some new tunes!) and then Uncle Eric will DJ till the end of the evening. There is no cover! The spot is dope. Nice relaxed atmosphere, good beer, and nice peeps.

We have a show this thursday at Wonderland Ballroom that turns out to be an experimental test in music. I wish they could get a better sound system so Eric did not have to drag out his heavy speakers all the time. So I am not going to worry about having an epic sounding show this time around, the staff at wonderland are awesome and we like to throw it down there.

Living in Washington DC has the potential to turn most artist insane. I for one like to throw that insanity into my music. Now I might as well tell you that I dont like it when people assume that I am creating or like to make hip hop. My music is Anti-Hip Hop and Anti-Metal. Now I am going to get down right blunt. I am not an aspiring MC or rapper, because that would be a waste of my time. Yeah, I freestyle and record my written rhymes for my songs, but that is just one of my many skills. Dont expect rhyming on every album because that is just a portion of what this music revolution called Astroknotics is about. I dig hip hop dont get me wrong, but I have a problem with conforming my creativity to what people “want” to hear. I dont care what people think (sometimes), you either like it or not period! So don’t come to me and tell me that I have too much FX on my voice because its a part of our sound. If you want to hear every word, wait for the album. Just remember, going to an Astroknotics show to listen to the lyrics is like running into an electric fence. I make my music so anyone from any country could listen to it without them thinking that we are just arrogant American artists who want them to understand English (THE NEXT ALBUM WILL BE IN LATIN!).

Look out for the album, we are nearly done with it.

Finally, what ever you can do to make the world a better place to chill, do it!

Godspeed everyone.
