Apologies to anyone who’s been wondering what’s up with this Website. My work schedule gets hectic around April and May, and when I get home from work I cook, play records or go out. But now I have time to blog again. To start here are some of favorite DJ crews around DC.
First and foremost (for me) is FunkDC. The party at Bossa on Thursdays is hoppin again and the Visions party on Saturdays is tight as well. If your lucky some dope MCs will freestyle at the Visions party, nice!
DistrictSoul DJs are fantastic and their message board lets you know what’s up in DC, House music wise. Check the mixes.
Groovedistrict (one of?) DC’s brokenbeat crews. Wednesdays at 5.
Numerous other great DJs in the DC/Balt area (Sam Burns, Pope, Oji, Tom B etc etc.)
Hooray for soulful House Music (and downtempo, hiphop, all that funky stuff) check the above sites for streaming DJ mixes.
